Audible speed-limit awareness for active drives.

Don't Speed monitors vehicle speed after you tap Start Drive, checks live speed-limit data when available, plays escalating audible warnings, and keeps overspeed history local on your iPhone.

Road signs, traffic conditions, and your own judgment always come first. If Don't Speed cannot trust the posted limit, it stays quiet instead of warning against a guess.

What v1 does

Focused drive awareness without extra accounts or scoring.

Start Drive boundary

Monitoring stays off until you begin a drive. End Drive stops GPS, background activity, and audible alerts again.

Audible warning bands

Choose tone, chime, or voice alerts. Warnings repeat only while the app has trusted speed-limit data and you stay over tolerance.

Local overspeed history

Events stay on device as local JSON with retention controls for 7 days, 30 days, or until you delete them.

Current scope

No extras, no fake limits.

  • No ads, subscriptions, driver scoring, insurance features, gamification, analytics SDK, or cloud sync.
  • No off-device overspeed log transmission in v1.
  • No CarPlay support in the shipping v1 iPhone build.
  • No warning against a made-up default speed limit when live data is unavailable.
